  1. Gardening: now here is a subject where I can contribute. Although you captured the beauty of Japanese Lanterns, I have recently found an equally old and beautiful plant that re-seeds itself and you can eat it too. It is a hyacinth bean vine. It will grow up to 20 feet tall, has green to purple stalks and leaves and purple beans, which are edible. It blooms in late summer exhibiting light magenta to soft violet blossoms. It is my new favorite. To me beauty is dimensional; it cannot only be visual. It has to resonate beauty through many modes. Sometimes the beauty isn't visual at all; it could be a scent, a memory, a thought process, an emotion, and of course sounds.
